Samba hugday, this Thursday

On March 12th we will have an Ubuntu hug day on Samba. Please join us in triaging and squashing Samba bugs !

The Samba packages are used client-side to access a SMB share (on a Windows machine or a Samba server) and server-side to share folders from a system. We currently have 177 open bugs on Samba (of which 73 in the “New” state and 110 without an importance set). We need to reproduce and confirm as much as we can, and set the importance accordingly. I’ll be around that day on the #ubuntu-bugs IRC channel on Freenode to help. We’ll provide advice and triaging instructions to make this complex package easy to investigate.

Ever wanted to discover more about that critical piece of software ? Thursday is your chance to get to know it from the inside !
