I am trying to install UEC from Ubuntu 10.04 server amd64 iso, but unfortunately i am not getting the option of “install UEC”. Can anyone suggest me the appropriate iso, so that i can install UEC. I tried to install it from 12.04 server iso, but it also didnt work.
can anybody help regarding this.

Hi Thierry,
What you are describing is what we are doing in XLcloud (www.xlcloud.org). Well, more or less.
Because we have nine teams in different locations, and some are working with Agile methodology (some full with a high level expertise, some light…) and others not.
And our project is open source. So we are contributing or on the way to contribute to some open source projects such as OpenStack (which is an important component in our project).
We use tools such as Jira in a Sprint-oriented process to help us track what we do in an open source philosophy.
In the end that all works quite well and we enhance the process along the time. I would like to say that we take the best of those both ways to work.

That’s totally true. The pre-RC1 bugfixing period is actually not “blockers only”: anything can be fixed. We just use the blockers as a measure of when we are ready to push a RC1. If you look at the Nova stats for example, we started with 30 blockers but fixed 200 bugs before pushing RC1. With a volunteer group and the strong incentive to “scratch your own itch”, you usually achieve a good balance between “must fix” and “want to fix”.

An emphasis on ‘blockers only’ early in the process (read: when users just began testing) means that medium-high bugs are largely ignored or at best, deferred. This may lead to a mediocre release, even though it does not have blockers. I’m not saying this is the situation, just that we need to be careful not to go into a ‘if there are no blockers, all’s well’ mode.

hi everybody
i try to build private cloud using UEC with eucalyptus cd install i implemented in two mechine one contain CLC,SC,CC,Walrus and the other contain node controller i am using ubuntu 11.04 LTS eucalyptus 2.02 version

The networking in cloud implemented with two networks – private and public. The public network would be accessible to users and administrators from the “outside world”, and the private network is reserved for the backend communication, and is private for the cloud(between NCs and CLC mechine)
my problem is the two mechine(i m using 2 labtop) have one NIC eth0 its ok for node because i need one interface for private network but the problem is with CLC mechine need 2 interface eth0 (used with public)and eth1( used with private to communicate with node)
the other problem is how to bring internet connection to CLC mechine as i follow UEC guide it shoud assign a static ip addres to eth0 which is the ip address of cloud but i cant used static addres because i cant get internet connection in this case .

i got internet connection from my ISP through LAN local area connection and set a VPN with user name a passward that ISP gave me and use dhcp so i dont have a static ip address , this is on my other labtop which i used it to coonect to internet .

so how i can implement clc in mechine with one NIC , and how i can bring intetnet access to it . what shoud i do

please help i cant finsh installation because of internet access
